Over the past few months, I've noticed a coupleextras from Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy have listed their roles in the upcoming film as "Sakaaran". To be perfectly honest, I had no idea what a Sakaraan was before doing some research. Apparently, Sakaarans come from the planet Sakaar (no surprise there), which Hulk crashed on after being banished from Earth in Planet Hulk. Sakaarans also have a "red-skinned" appearance, bearing a striking resemblance to one of the extras we saw in certain set photos from the Millennium Bridge last year.
Whether or not Guardians of the Galaxy will introduce the planet Sakaar is yet to be seen. If it is introduced, however, should we expect Marvel Studios to announce a Planet Hulk movie for Phase 3?
